Joyce

Joyce Just radiates joy. The other kids and nannies all love her and she always responds with a smile or laughter when they talk to her. Joyce was born with Down syndrome.

When Joyce came to the foster home in the summer of 2017 her muscle tone was very weak. She was 15 months old but her muscles were not strong enough to lift her head. This was mainly due to lack of practice/attention. The foster home immediately started play therapy to train her muscles. Simply starting to give her “belly time” had her lifting her head to look at toys very quickly. She then started to move around pulling herself forward with her arms and sitting independently. Currently she is walking around the foster home and we are all very proud of the progress she’s made!

By sponsoring Joyce you are contributing to her growing up in a loving environment with caring nannies where she will get stimulation to learn new things.
